14 horses remain in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe market at Longchamp after 5 were removed; Sarafina heads them at 11/4 (Betfred)
Five were removed from the betting on Wednesday but with a supplementary stage due on Thursday, more could be added. Regent Street and Wonder Of Wonders, both Aidan O’Brien, have been removed while Godolphin have scratched Casamento. The other two are Giant Step and Arctic Cosmos.
Snow Fairy has continued to shorten and her price has nearly halved since Monday, she is now 11/1 with Betfred.
Betfred spokesman George Primarolo told Betrescue Racing “Both Snow Fairy and Sarafina have been the only two horses that punters have been interested in since Monday and if money talks, then it looks like it’ll be the fairer sex that comes out on top in Paris on Sunday”
Looking ahead to the Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket, Veiled is now the 10/1 co-favourite of three (from 11/1) following the latest confirmation stage in which 19 horses have been scratched from the 2m2f marathon.
“Cosimo De Medici has been the big mover for the Betfred Cesarewitch having proven he stays the trip when winning the trial at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago and Hughie Morrison’s gelding could be a big threat off a low weight” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
