Live on Skysports 2: Tues 19.45: Chelsea should win but Arsenal are 3/1 (Blue Square) to lose by one in the Champions League.
Arsenal carved out a Premiership win at the weekend but looked far from convincing as they edged out Swansea 1-0 and it’s hard to warm to Arsene Wenger’s side at 11/4 with Ladbrokes as they head to Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga outfit haven’t made a great start to the campaign and the shine was taken off their formidable home record at the weekend as they went down to Hertha Berlin at the Westfalenstadion, however, the German champions should still have the edge against a Gunners team whose away form in the competition leaves a lot to be desired.
William Hill post 5/4 against a victory for Jurgen Klopp’s charges, who are 3/1 (Blue Square) to edge it by one and Robert Lewandowski is a player that could make an impact for the hosts; the Polish striker has been in decent form of late, for club and country and he’s a tempting 2/1 with Coral to find the net at any stage.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea also face German opposition but theirs should be a more straightforward assignment against Bayer Leverkusen. Andre Villas-Boas’ troops are Stan James’ 2/5 favourites and they’re worth backing in the handicaps at 11/10 (bet365) when starting a goal behind.
Meanwhile, Nicola Anelka, whose form in Europe last season was pretty strong, is a 6/1 shot at Skybet to break the deadlock and it’s also 6/1, this time via William Hill, for the Blues to notch twice without reply.
