Live on Eurosport: Tue 07.30: John Higgins is the 7/1 co-fav with Boylesports for this week’s Shanghai Masters; Ding Junhui is an 8/1 chance
Ali Carter is the number 1 seed in Shanghai this week as he sets out to defend his Masters title, Stan James making him 25/1 to do so. John Higgins is rated as 7/1 co-fav by Boylesports (with Mark Selby) while home favourite Ding Junhui is 8/1, this time with Betdaq.
Ding has had a good start to the season with a World Cup win, a final in the PTC and a semi final at the Wuxi classic and there should be no reason why he can’t challenge.
The winner of that PTC final was Judd Trump and he is a must bet on each-way terms; Skybet have 14/1 about him, each-way being half odds for the finalists. Trump managed a win at last season’s China Open and a World Championship final but potentially meets Ding in the semis.
