Reigning champions Barcelona are 15-8 favourites with Coral to win this season’s Champions League, following the group stage draw. Real Madrid are 5-1 second favourites, ahead of Manchester United at 13-2 (from 15-2), Chelsea at 9-1, and Champions League debutants, Manchester City, 16-1 with Coral.
“We’ve cut Manchester United’s outright odds after a group draw that couldn’t have been any better had Sir Alex Ferguson picked their opponents himself, while Arsenal and Chelsea should be happy enough with the hands they’ve been dealt,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“Things could also have been trickier for Manchester City’s Champions League debut, and having avoided the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan, the odds suggest they too will progress to the knock-out stage,” added Stevens.
Should the Spanish champions repeat last season’s success, Coral will refund stakes on outright bets placed on the team that Barcelona beat in the final.
“Barcelona are once again the team to beat, but anyone backing against them will at least get their money back if their selection comes off second best to Pep Guardiola’s side in next May’s final,” confirmed Coral’s David Stevens.
