Live on Skysports 1: Sun 12.15: Celtic are 21/20 with Boylesports to beat Aberdeen ‘to nil’ in the SPL and Anthony Stokes can strike for the Hoops.
Celtic smashed 21 goals past Aberdeen in five contests last season and they look set to pick up where they left off as they head to Pittodrie today. The Hoops arrive on the back of a 2-0 success in their opener against Hibs and they’re a safe bet at 4/11 with Ladbrokes to double their points tally at the Dons’ expense.
However, the best way to pocket a packet is by backing Neil Lennon’s men to keep the hosts’ attack at bay. In that handful of miserable meetings last term, Aberdeen managed just one goal – a solitary consolation when already 4-0 down; more tellingly however, Craig Brown’s boys have failed to score past St Mirren and St Johnstone in their first two matches, so their powder-puff attack could struggle to breach the visitors’ rearguard.
A Celtic clean sheet is even money at but with an away victory a banker, punters can make a little bit more by tackling Boylesports’ 21/20 for the Hoops to win ‘to nil’.
Elsewhere, Skybet offer 5/1 for Lennon’s troops to notch twice without reply, just as they did at Easter Road a fortnight ago and they should get their noses in front early, so the deadlock could be broken before the 26h minute (5/6, Betfred).
Gary Hooper meanwhile, is Totesport’s 10/3 favourite to grab that opener but Anthony Stokes was Celtic most prolific marksman against Aberdeen last season, netting an impressive six times against the hapless Dons and he also put his side 1-0 up at Hibs last time out so the Irishman is arguably the pick of the bunch in the first scorer betting at 5.0 (4/1) with Betdaq.
Recommended Bets:
