Live on Skysports 1: Wed 10.30: With England cruising to a 2-0 lead, Betfred go 4/1 about India biting back with a win in the 3rd Test.
England have impressed in this series, moving into an unassailable 2-0 lead; Stan James make them just 1/33 to win the series while have 9/4 about them winning 3-0 and Blue Square 3/1 for the 4-0 whitewash. Andrew Strauss and co are 13/10 with bet365 to win the 3rd Test at Edgbaston, starting Wednesday.
However, on the back of some harsh criticism in the Indian press and some beneficial team changes, India are worth taking a punt on at 4/1 with Betfred. Granted India have not won at Edgbaston but it’s many years since the ground hosted these two teams and back comes Verinder Sehwag, a massive addition to the batting line-up.
A major setback for the Indian attack is the loss of Zaheer Khan but Ishant Sharma, though young, is a worthy back-up and at 10/3 (Boylesports) could be the man to side with for top wicket taker for India. Critics aiming their voices at Harbajhan will be happy as he steps down injured, perhaps further rounding out the India team.
In the England camp, Stuart Broad is 5/2 with Betfred to take the most wickets for the home side while craftsman Ian Bell is 9/2 to top score (Sportingbet). Out of sorts Alistair Cook is 4/1 with Paddy Power.
If the weather stays good (the draw is currently 6/4 at Stan James due to a mixed forecast) then India have a chance to make amends for some poor showings. England are good but not infallible.
