Northampton and Southend are the teams to follow in League Two this weekend and the pair double up at 13/5 with Boylesports.
Accrington were one of the surprise packages in League Two last term, storming into the play-offs, where their promotion dream was eventually halted but Stanley are set to find the going considerably tougher this season.
A significant proportion of the squad that carried John Coleman’s men into fifth are no longer at the Crown Ground and although replacements have come in, the Accrington boss has his work cut out to even keep Stanley in the top half of the table.
An opening day trip to what is likely to be a much-improved Northampton side isn’t the ideal start to the campaign for Stanley and it’s the Cobblers that are the stand out bet at 10/11 with Coral.
Also primed for a home win are Southend. Paul Sturrock’s men could emerge as shock promotion contenders this season if a few things go their way and they can do confidence at Roots Hall the power of good by landing a maximum haul at the expense of Hereford, a result rated by William Hill at 19/20.
