Frankel is the 8-11 favourite with Coral for Wednesday’s Sussex Stakes, following the final declarations for the Goodwood showpiece. Canford Cliffs is the 11-8 second favourite, with Rajasman and Rio De La Plata completing the quartet at 25-1 and 80-1 respectively.
“What the race lacks in numbers, it more than makes up for in quality, and the showdown between the unbeaten Frankel and the year-older five-time Group One winner Canford Cliffs will capture punters’ imagination on Wednesday afternoon. We are firmly in the Frankel camp, and in recent days the money has come for Sir Henry Cecil’s charge, meaning he is sure to start favourite, while we will be looking to accommodate Canford Cliffs fans,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Looking ahead to Saturday, Misty For Me is the 2-1 favourite with Coral for the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes, with Snow Fairy 5-2 and the dual-winner, Midday, 11-4 to complete the hat-trick.
“Misty For Me is a worthy favourite for the Nassau Stakes following her defeat of Midday last month, but if all the leading fancies line up on Saturday, it could rival the Sussex Stakes as the race of the meeting,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
