Phil Taylor remains 7-4 fav with Coral to win the PDC World Championship in January, despite looking back to his best at the World Matchplay in Blackpool for the twelfth time at the weekend.
The fifteen times world champion had been struggling to find his very best form for a year, but his 18-8 demolition of James Wade in the final showed he is not to be written off just yet.
“Even though he dominated Blackpool like the Phil Taylor of old, punters seem reluctant to back him for the world title and our 7-4 top offer remains unchanged,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
Premier League winner, Gary Anderson, is the 6-1 second favourite, with current world champion Adrian Lewis and Wade priced at 8-1.
