Workforce is the new 6/4 fav (from 2/1) for the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes with Betfred following strong support for Sir Michael Stoute’s colt over the past twenty-four hours.
Consequently, St Nicholas Abbey has been eased to 15/8 (from 6/4) for the Group 1 event and has been replaced as favourite for the first time since his last-gasp victory in the Coronation Cup last month.
“The support for Workforce has been relentless since he was left in the King George at the latest declaration stage and he looks certain to line up as favourite on Saturday should he get the go-ahead,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
Rewilding is next in the market at 10/3 with the recently supplemented Nathaniel a 9/1 shot.
