Live on Skysports 1: Weds 19.00: Starting 3.5 legs back, James Wade is 8/11 with Boylesports as he faces Mark Walsh in the World Matchplay.
2007 winner James Wade showed that he is in the mood to clinch his second World Matchplay crown by whitewashing first round opponent Jamie Caven 10-0 and the left-hander should also prevail relatively comfortably against Mark Walsh.
Wade is just 1/4 at best with to progress but the best value is to be found in the handicaps where he starts 3.5 legs behind at odds of 8/11 (Stan James) or 4.5 legs in arrears at 11/10 courtesy of Skybet.
Fresh from an impressive 10-3 triumph over Terry Jenkins, Steve Beaton is chalked up by Sportingbet at a tempting 7/4 to get the better of Mark Webster, who edged out John Part in round one and William Hill give Beaton a 2.5 leg start in the handicaps at 5/6.
Adrian Lewis had to battle hard to eliminate Kevin Painter 14-12 in his first round clash but should show no ill effects as he tackles Vincent van der Voort, bet365 pricing the world champion at 1/4 to emerge victorious and William Hill offering an enticing 8/13 for Lewis to fire the first 180 of the match.
Meanwhile, Raymond van Barneveld recovered from losing his darts to conquer Steve Brown 10-3 and last year’s beaten finalist is chalked up by Betfred at 8/13 to win his second round clash against Paul Nicholson.
However, Nicholson, at 11/8 (Ladbrokes) is a dangerous opponent and catches the eye at 8/11 with Skybet when starting 2.5 legs in front.
