Paul Ferguson has two selections to kick-start the week; Starlight Walk (2.20 Ffos L) and Atlanta Falcon (8.30 Killarn). Compare odds and bet
Though she’s had three goes already this year Starlight Walk (2:20) has shown enough to suggest she can land a middle-distance maiden and Roger Charlton’s filly is taken to land the opener at Ffos Las on Monday.
The daughter of Galileo shaped really well on her handicap debut at Newmarket last time, having shown a useful level of form when runner-up to Heretic at Leicester the time before.
Over in Ireland Atlanta Falcon (8:30) can win the maiden hurdle at Killarney for Gordon Elliott and Paul Carberry.
The son of Winged Love first caught my attention when heavily backed for the valuable point-to-point championship bumper at Fairyhouse last April.
He flopped on that occasion and, after another disappointing run, returned to the pointing ranks and he was successful for the second time between the flags at Askeaton in February.
The six-year-old returned under rules last month and won bumpers at Perth and Hexham, winning by an impressive 21 lengths last time.
While he may not have beaten much, he should be good enough to win a maiden hurdle at this time of year and the 2m4f trip is sure to suit.
Monday’s selection:
2:20 Ffos Las Starlight Walk
8:30 Killarney Atlanta Falcon
