Live on ESPN: Fri 23.15: Uruguay and Chile are hard to separate in the Copa America but they’re 19/20 with William Hill to both find the net.
Uruguay found it tough to break down dogged Peru in their Copa America opener, eventually emerging with a 1-1 stalemate and on paper, their second fixture against Chile looks like the tougher assignment.
The Chileans arguably looked like the most fluent attacking unit in the competition so far as they came from behind to beat Mexico 2-1 but to say their opposition were under-strength is an understatement and it would be risky to read to much into that result and pile into Claudio Borghi’s troops at 15/8 courtesy of Paddy Power.
Nevertheless, Oscar Tabarez’s charges, Stan James’ slight favourites at 13/8, didn’t do enough in their first game to suggest they’re worth backing with confidence and so a modest flutter on the draw is arguably the best option in Mendoza, at 9/4 with Skybet.
Bolder punters can tackle Betfred’s 11/2 marked against a 1-1 scoreline but as this is such a tough game to call, it could be safer to simply back both teams to score at 19/20 (William Hill); Chile looked dangerous going forward yet still conceded at the other end against a weakened Mexico while Uruguay have plenty of attacking talent at their disposal.
Recommended Bets:
Both teams to score in Uruguay v Chile – 19/20 (William Hill)
