Live on ESPN: Thurs 23.15: Bolivia are even money with William Hill to see off Costa Rica in the Copa America and could manage a shut out.
Bolivia shocked everyone by landing a point against hosts and tournament favourites Argentina in their Copa America opener and Gustavo Quinteros’ charges will fancy their chances of building on that result by grabbing a maximum haul at the expense of an under strength Costa Rica side.
The Ticos went down 1-0 against Colombia in their first match, having been reduced to ten men before the half hour mark and they could struggle to improve on that result in Jujuy.
Bolivia are William Hill’s even money favourites for the points while Costa Rica are chalked up at 10/3 by Paddy Power and it’s in defence where La Verde could clinch it. Even before the dismissal of striker Randall Brenes, La Sele looked unconvincing offensively and with Brenes now suspended they will goals even harder to come by.
Subsequently, Bolivia, who held firm at the back for the bulk of the game against a talented Argentina attack, catch the eye at 9/4 (Skybet) to prevail ‘to nil’ although there’s always the risk that they will be frustrated themselves going forward, so it’s perhaps safer to simply back Quinteros’ men at 7/5 with to keep a clean sheet.
