Live on ESPN: Tues 01.45: Chile are 1/2 with Stan James to beat weakened Mexico in the Copa America and Alexis Sanchez could shine.
If the Mexico side that recently clinched the CONCACAF Gold Cup was turning up for the Copa America then they’d certainly be capable of making an impact but as it is they have left out most of their senior figures, arriving in Argentina with a squad made up largely of players aged under 22 and they have been further depleted by the suspension of eight of their party for bringing women back to the team hotel after a friendly in Ecuador.
Their ability to be truly competitive in the competition has to be called in to question then and it’s almost impossible to see anything other than a defeat for Luis Fernando Tena’s side as they come up against Chile in San Juan.

Meanwhile, although a mauling for Mexico isn’t on the cards, Chile can still come out on top fairly comfortably and Paddy Power post 7/5 against them in the handicaps, where they give away a goal start.
