Live on BBC2: Fri 13.00: Novak Djokovic is Sportingbet’s 8/15 favourite against Jo-Wilfired Tsonga in the pair’s Wimbledon semi-final.
At two sets down against Roger Federer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s chances of reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals looked dead and buried but the Frenchman mounted an astonishing comeback to book a last four showdown against world number two Novak Djokovic.
However, Tsonga’s marathon five-setter on Wednesday, could have taken something out him and it’s the Serb that is favourite to reach the Men’s Singles final, Sportingbet making the second seed odds-on at 8/15.
Djokovic showed his battling qualities when turning things around whilst in a touch of trouble against Australian teen sensation Bernard Tomic in the last eight but he showed enough vulnerability in that one to suggest he won’t have it all his own way against Tsonga.
Bet365’s 8/15 for the contest to produce more than 3.5 sets therefore catches the eye while Coral post 13/8 against the match containing exactly four sets and with Djokovic the likely victor, it might be worth pushing the boat out a touch and tackling Sportingbet’s 16/5 for the Serb to prevail 3-1 just as he did against Tomic.
Recommended Bets:
Djokovic to beat Tsonga 3-1 – 16/5 (Sportingbet)
