Coral bookmakers make defending champion Phil Taylor the 7-4 favourite to win the World Matchplay title at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
The eleven times winner hasn’t had the most successful of seasons so far but he usually saves his best form for this event.
“Taylor has owned this event in recent years, and although he comes here short his best form, he’s still the favourite and the one the rest will have to beat to win,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
Premier League winner, Gary Anderson, is the 11-2 second favourite, with reigning world champion, Adrian Lewis and recent Grand Prix winner, James Wade next in the betting at 8-1.
