On a busy day for news on potential Coral-Eclipse runners, Coral has introduced Canford Cliffs into their betting at 2-1 (with a run), after connections said either the Sandown Group One or the Qipco Sussex Stakes would be the colt’s next race.
As a result of that news, So You Think and Workforce head the Coral-Eclipse betting as 13-8 joint favourites, and with Ryan Moore likely to be on board the latter, Seamie Heffernan is 4-1 favourite with Coral to take the ride on the former.
“It would be fantastic if Canford Cliffs lined up against So You Think and Workforce at Sandown, but with the Coolmore partners owning a share in Richard Hannon’s charge, we feel it is only fair to quote him with a run at this stage,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“All being well, Ryan Moore is likely to be on board Workforce, meaning a plum ride on So You Think will be up for grabs, and we just favour Seamie Heffernan to get the nod, although there will be no shortage of potential candidates,” said Stevens.
