Live on BBC2 & Eurosport: Sat 14.00: Na Li is 10/11 with Sportingbet as the bookies struggle to split the finalists of the ladies French Open.
Na Li faces defending champion Francesca Schiavone and the Italian, who experly dispatched of Marion Bartoli in the semis, is best priced at even money with Betfred.
This will be a really tight contest. Schiavone is the immediate pick as she has a previous win in Grand Slams (France, last year) where as Li is one of the better players on the women’s circuit never to have won a major. Also, Schiavone did look pretty devastating in her semi final victory against Bartoli following ever so slightly laboured victories in previous rounds. Another powerful display ending in a 2-0 victory for Schiavone is 5/2 with William Hill.
However, Na Li, picked here on the antepost at 33/1, is in great form. She reached the Aussie Open final in January and has progressed to the final at Roland Garros beating three top ten seeds on the way. That culminated in a very decent victory over Maria Sharapova and a 2-0 win for Li is 9/4 with Ladbrokes.
Boylesports say 11/8 that there wil be three sets, which is quite favourable as whoever wins will be in for a real fight but it’s our belief that it’s finally Na Li’s time to shine. She is 10/3 with Skybet to win 2-1 and the outright of 10/11 with Sportingbet is good too. Coral reckon 10/11 about there being 23 games or more which also seems good value as all it would take is two closely fought sets to payout.
