Paul Ferguson has two more tips for us on Tuesday – Beau Fighter (2.20) and Point North (7.20) Compare odds
The feature on Kempton’s evening card on Wednesday, the Lay Back And Win At Betdaq.com Handicap, sees several unexposed and improving handicappers lock horns.
Marcus Tregoning’s Heddwyn should have a valuable prize in him this term, but this is his first outing of the campaign and he needs to prove his ability to handle the surface, whereas Point North (7:20) was an impressive winner here three weeks ago and looks as though the step up in trip should bring about further improvement.
Jeremy Noseda’s gelding was a winner at Nottingham last backend and looked one to follow last time, despite being raised 7lbs in the handicap.
Earlier in the day Beau Fighter (2:20) should be able to get off the mark over hurdles in the opening contest at Cartmel.
Placed behind a couple of smart sorts (Notus De La Tour and Salden Licht) on his first two starts over timber at Plumpton last January, he arrives here in fine form having won three of his last four starts on the all-weather.
Though Benbens is respected, recent wellbeing tilts things in his favour and he can make the long journey north worthwhile for trainer Gary Moore.
Wednesday’s selections:
2:20 Cartmel Beau Fighter
7:20 Kempton Point North
