Live On Skysports 1: Sun 15.00: Huddersfield and Peterborough could produce plenty of goals in the League One play-off final at Old Trafford.
On a hugely impressive unbeaten run stretching back 27 matches in the league if you include their play-off double-header against Bournemouth, Huddersfield have been scoring for fun of late but have hardly been water tight at the other end while Peterborough’s 46 league games produced an incredible 181 goals so viewers could be in for a thriller as the attacking pair go head-to-head at Old Trafford in the League One play-off final.
In the match betting, the Terriers’ form makes them marginally more attractive, at 6/4 with Stan James, than Posh (15/8, Coral) but Darren Ferguson’s troops are simply too good to be written off and punters will probably be better served speculating on the number of goals given that the prolific pair look a banker at 4/5 courtesy of bet365 to produce more than 2.5 between them.
Plenty of players on show pose a significant attacking threat, Peterborough marksman Craig Mackail-Smith fired an impressive 27 goals over the season and Town have players all over the park that can get on the scoresheet, so it may be worth taking a risk on this showdown at 21/10 with William Hill, producing at least four goals.
The aforementioned Mackail-Smith is a chunky-looking 15/8 (Stan James) to contribute to that tally at any time while at the other end, Danny Ward has four in four and is quoted by Hills at 4/1 to add to that at some point.
Recommended Bets:
Over 3.5 goals in the game – 21/10 (William Hill)
Craig Mackail-Smith to score at any time – 15/8 (Stan James)
