In the Super League, Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves lead the Grand Final betting at 6/4 (Stan James) and 5/2 (Paddy Power)
Three teams are locked on 20 points at the top of the Super League table but of that trio, only champions Wigan and Warrington are given any chance of clinching first place at the end of the regular season.
The Warriors, fresh from a 54-6 triumph against Harlequins, head the betting at even money with Stan James and can also be backed with the same firm, at 6/4 to land a second consecutive Grand Final crown while the Wolves – who hammered Castleford 62-0 last Friday – are 5/2 courtesy of Paddy Power for Old Trafford glory and Betfred quote them at 13/8 to be top of the pile after the 27 regular season matches.
Despite currently lying second over half way through the campaign, Huddersfield aren’t expected to secure top spot, Totesport chalking them up at 10/1, just ahead of Leeds and St Helens, both 14/1 at Sportingbet.
The Giants are also a 10/1 shot, this time with William Hill, for the Grand Final but the Rhinos and Saints are considered more of a threat in that department; Brian McDermott’s men available at 7/1 (888Sport) and bet365 chalk 11/2 against Royce Simmons’ fourth placed side scooping the overall title.
