Ladbrokes quote 8/11 that Manchester United’s record 19th Premier League title may be the last for Sir Alex Ferguson.
He’s 8/11 to fail to win the league again whilst in charge of Manchester United and 5/4 to secure just one more title. It’s 10/1 United win two or more under him.
Despite a highly competitive season punters never lost the faith in Sir Alex Ferguson’s men backing them at a high of 5/1 and they are the 6/4 favourites to retain their crown next season from Chelsea at 7/4. Neighbours Manchester City now 11/2 third favourites.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The draw inside 90 minutes was a decent result for us in the short term. United backers who never lost the faith have been rewarded with several backing their side at decent prices during the season.”
he added: “All eyes will be on Ferguson now he’s broken the record and the odds indicate this may be his last title. The bottom three are also now starting to look set in stone with mathematical miracles needed in some cases.”
