Following Canford Cliff’s Lockinge Stakes win on Saturday, Coral has priced up match bets featuring Richard Hannon’s star colt, and go 5-6 each of two in a match with Goldikova, but 9-4 against the 2,000 Guineas winner, Frankel, who is 1-3.
“We can’t split Canford Cliffs and Goldikova ahead of their potential meeting at Royal Ascot, but following his extraordinary 2,000 Guineas win, we would very much favour the year-younger Frankel to come out on top should he meet Canford Cliffs. With any luck, this mouthwatering clash could happen in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, and as Richard Hannon said, it would certainly fill a racecourse, as well as capturing punters’ imagination,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
