Live on Skysports 1: Sun 13.30 & 16.00: Chelsea are strong favourites at 1/5 with Betfred to get the better of Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.
Resigned to finishing second, Chelsea should nevertheless register a comfortable victory as they welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are just 1/5 (Betfred) to emerge triumphant in what could prove to be Carlo Ancelotti’s final home game as manager but a victory ‘to nil’ is arguably better value at 11/10 with Coral given Chelsea’s defensive strength at home as well as the fact that the Magpies have drawn a blank in four of their last seven outings and are without top scorer Kevin Nolan.
In the battle for a Europa League place, Liverpool have to be fancied against a tired Tottenham team whose season has petered out a touch; William Hill quote the in-form Reds at 4/5 but the regularity with which Kenny Dalglish’s troops are finding the net means they could realistically come out on top by at least two (23/10, Stan James) and a 3-1 home win catches the eye at Anfield, at 12/1 with Sportingbet.
At 2/5 (William Hill), Arsenal too, should chalk up a home win, against an Aston Villa team with only 14 points to their name across 18 away matches. However, a victory against Manchester United aside, the Gunners are hardly finishing the campaign in scintillating form and they won’t have everything their own way at the Emirates, where it’s 10/11 (Skybet) for both teams to find the net.
At the bottom meanwhile, Wigan are 6/5 courtesy of Paddy Power to send West Ham down by beating Avram Grant’s men at the DW Stadium but Birmingham may have to settle for a share of the spoils (23/10, Betfred) at home to Fulham, who will be keen to bounce back from Monday’s 5-2 hammering at the hands of Liverpool.
Recommended Bets:
