After beating Rafa Nadal in the Madrid Open final and taking his winning streak on the season to 32 matches, Novak Djokovic has been slashed by Coral bookmakers to repeat the feat in the French Open later this month, he has been cut to 15-8 (from 7-2) to take the title. The Spaniard is out to a top price of 8-11 (from 4-7) with the Barking based bookies.
The in form Serbian has also been cut to win Wimbledon, he is into 3-1, after being quoted at 7-1 immediately after winning the Australian Open in January, and he has also been slashed to 10-1 (from 50-1) to make it a clean sweep of the Grand Slams too, by adding the US Open in September.
It’s 9-2 (from 14-1) that he wins at least two of the three remaining slams.
“Nadal doesn’t lose many on clay, but Djokovic is looking unstoppable on any surface right now and a win in France would make him a very short price to be the first grand slam winner since Rod Laver in 1969!” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
