Arsenal And United Hard To Split

Live on ESPN & Skysports 1: Sun 12.00, 14.05 & 16.10: Champions-elect Manchester United might have to settle for a draw at Arsenal, a result Stan James offer at 12/5.

A run of just one win in seven has seen Arsenal’s title push disintegrate and Arsene Wenger’s men subsequently go into their clash against champions-elect Manchester United with more chance of missing out on third place than clinching top spot.

Nevertheless, Arsenal are slight favourites at 2.6 (8/5) with Betdaq to prevail in Sunday’s Emirates Stadium contest and Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are quoted by at 15/8 to edge closer to a 19th league title, although as five of the Gunner’s last seven have finished all square, Stan James’ 12/5 for the draw isn’t without appeal and that’s a result that would suit United.

Ladbrokes offer 11/2 for it to finish one-apiece in north London, Betfred price the contest at 4/1 to be level at the end of each half and it’s 5/6 with Stan James for the match to produce less than 2.5 goals. Javier Hernandez, who struck United’s winner against Everton last weekend, is 13/8 with Totesport to find the net at any stage.

Man City are 2/5 courtesy of Totesport to tighten their grip on a Champions League place by denting West Ham’s survival hopes at Eastlands, where Roberto Mancini’s troops are 13/10 with William Hill to beat the Hammers ‘to nil’ and Liverpool are 7/5 (Partybets) to do likewise as they entertain Newcastle.

At the bottom, Wolves boss Mick McCarthy was highly critical of his side after they meekly went down 3-0 at Stoke and he promised that a different team would turn up for the crucial clash against Birmingham. McCarthy’s strugglers should respond in the right way to a degree after Tuesday’s horrow show and they can scrap their way to a draw here, a result Coral rate at 23/10.

Recommended Bets:
Arsenal and Manchester United to draw – 12/5 (Stan James)
Liverpool to beat Newcastle ‘to nil’ – 7/5 (Partybets)
The first goal in Birmingham v Wolves to be after 26th minute – evens (Paddy Power)
