Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Thursday; Native Khan in the 4.10 (Newmarket) and Field Of Miracles in the 7.15 (Kempton).
With the quick ground in his favour and in receipt of weight from Librano, the Group 3 Craven Stakes can go the way Native Khan (4:10) at Newmarket on Thursday.
Ed Dunlop’s grey won the Solario Stakes last summer and went on to finish fourth in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy, form that makes him the one to beat here.
His trainer believes he wasn’t at his best on easier ground that day and expects conditions to be perfect for his Azamour colt this afternoon.
Kieren Fallon’s mount, who is as low as 14/1 with Bet365 for the 2,000 Guineas, is sure to be popular and the 10/11 with Hills should be taken early.
Kempton’s evening card on the all-weather is where John Gosden has chosen to run Field Of Miracles (7:15) for the first time at three and the daughter of Galileo will be hard to beat in the 1m4f fillies’ maiden.
The Oaks entry made a pleasing debut in what could be a decent maiden at Newmarket last backend and, with the step up in trip bound to suit, she can get off the mark at the second attempt before going on to better things.
Thursday’s selections:
4:10 Newmarket Native Khan (10/11 Hills)
7:15 Kempton Field Of Miracles
