Live on Eurosport: Sat 10.00: John Higgins is Sportingbet’s 11/2 fav for the upcoming World Snooker Championships at The Crucible.
Mark Selby is Ladbrokes’ 6/1 2nd fav while Ronnie O’Sullivan, desparately in need of a big performance, is 8/1 with Betfred.
The recent China Open winner, Judd Trump, would surely have been attractive at 33/1 (Totesport) but has been drawn with defending champion Neil Robertson (unfancied at 10/1, Skybet) in the first round while Ding Junhui (8/1, Coral) must face Mark Selby in the quarters, should they both make it that far.
Trump is worth keeping an eye on and if he can take over that momentum from China, could have a great run to the semi final, he is 8/1 with Paddy Power to win his quarter.
Mark Williams and John Higgins should both take command in their respective quarters of the draw, they are 15/8 and 13/8 respectively with Boylesports to triumph in their section and meet in the semi.
