Graham Turner’s Shrewsbury are in a great patch of form in League Two and could upset a solid looking Aldershot side at 7/4 (William Hill).
A run of three straight wins has done Shrewsbury’s League Two promotion bid the power of good but with the race for the top three still wide open with half a dozen matches to go, Graham Turner’s men need to keep picking up maximum hauls to ensure they keep the chasing pack at arm’s length.
On paper their trip to Aldershot looks pretty tricky given that the hosts have won four and drawn four of their last eight but a couple of those victories came at home to the bottom two, matches in which ‘Shots didn’t really convince, and only perhaps Wycombe in their recent unbeaten run, possess the quality of the Shrews.
Add this to the fact that the hosts are now out of the running in terms of the play-off race and an away win starts to look pretty attractive at a generous 7/4 with William Hill.
Stevenage are just three points behind third-placed Shrewsbury after a run of six consecutive victories and Graham Westley’s side should stay in the hunt by seeing off hapless Stockport at Edgeley Park. Borough are 5/6 with Totesport to see off League Two’s bottom club but punters can boost those odds by combining an away win with a match total of over 2.5 goals at 15/8 with bet365.
Admittedly the Hatters aren’t quite conceding at the rate they were a few games ago but they still look shaky at the back, they’re also capable of scoring at the other end while Borough aren’t short of goals, so it should be a relatively high-scoring affair.
Goals could also be on the agenda at Underhill where Barnet lock horns with Crewe. The latter smashed in eight last weekend while the Bees fired four at the same time and they can continue in that vein in this one by sharing at least four goals (19/10, Sportingbet).
