Tiger Woods is out to 12/1 (from 9/1) with bookmaker Coral for the Masters, the biggest odds he has been since his first success 1997, as punters continue to desert the former world number one.
His compatriot Phil Mickelson is the 6/1 favourite to retain the season’s first Major title, with Lee Westwood leading the European challenge at 14/1, the same price as Nick Watney.
“As reigning Masters champion and a winner in Houston last weekend, it’s not surprising that Phil Mickelson is hot favourite to retain the title, but by contrast, for the first time in his professional career, punters appear to have deserted Tiger Woods at Augusta,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
