Paul Ferguson has two tips for us on Thursday; Havingotascoobydo in the 3.35 at Ludlow and Hunza Dancer, 4.50 Leicester.
Last week’s Haydock winner Mad Moose is likely to be popular in the 2m5f handicap hurdle at Ludlow on Thursday, though I prefer to give Havingotascoobydo (3:35) another chance after being beaten at Sandown earlier this month.
Just 8 days prior to that run the six-year-old bolted up here over course-and-distance on good ground, so conditions are ideal for Martin Keighley’s charge who will appreciate Mad Moose giving him a lead in to the home straight.
The son of Witness Box has moved like a very smart horse on his last two starts and, despite a rise of 11lbs since his last win, he is taken to return to winning ways.
At Leicester John Gosden and William Buick have a good chance with Derby entry Man Of Gold in the Ladbrokes.com Kibworth Handicap, but he faces another interesting colt in the shape of Sadler’s Risk, and the pair may have a better chance in the 7f fillies’ maiden.
Hunza Dancer (4:50) ran a fine race on her sole start as a juvenile, when third on soft ground at Yarmouth and, on better ground and down a furlong, she ought to be hard to beat with a similar performance.
A full sister to Misu Bond and Air Chief Marshall, both of whom who proved best at this trip, she also moved like a filly that certainly wouldn’t be inconvenienced by a drop in trip when third on debut.
Thursday’s selections:
3:35 Ludlow Havingotascoobydo
4:50 Leicester Hunza Dancer
