Promotion-chasing Shrewsbury are the picture of inconsistency at the moment having won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six so it’s difficult to tell which Shrews will turn up as Graham Turner takes his side to the Don Valley Stadium to face Rotherham.
The Millers’ own promotion bid was faltering sufficiently for the Rotherham board to part company with manager Ronnie Moore but that change at the helm reaped instant rewards on Friday as they smashed six past Lincoln at Sincil Bank.
Buoyed by that result and back on home soil, the Millers, with confidence restored, can put the patchy Shrews to the sword and William Hill make them a tempting 11/8 to do just that.
In the evening’s other League Two clash, Port Vale are 5/6 with Betfred to see off Lincoln and should prevail but the Valiants haven’t shown nearly enough of late to make them decent value at that price.
