Live on ESPN: Sat 12.00: In the SPL, Kilmarnock host Motherwell as 11/8 favs (Paddy Power) while St Johnstone head off to Hamilton.
Despite drawing four of their last five matches, the St Johnstone head to Hamilton tomorrow as William Hill’s 13/8 favourites to secure maximum points against a side yet to win a home league fixture this season.
The Saints have already beaten the Accies twice this term, most recently last month when they won 2-0, and punters expecting more of the same can get 11.0 (10/1) at Betdaq against them registering the same score tomorrow. Betfred post an attractive 23/10 about the draw, though there has been just one stalemate in the last 12 meetings of the pair.
However, few of those dozen meetings have been goalfests (six of the last nine have produced two goals or fewer), a fact which adds appeal to Ladbrokes’ 4/6 for the match to yield less than 2.5 goals. Meanwhile, punters anticipating a straight forward Saints victory may also fancy Sportingbet’s 3/4 price in the firm’s ‘draw no bet’ market.
Three of the last four meetings between Inverness and Dundee United have ended in away victories (and one draw), while only once in their last nine meetings has the home side managed to win. It’s a record which augurs well for the Jags following the disappointment of their midweek defeat at the hands of Celtic, although bet365 nonetheless make them the 15/4 outsiders to claim maximum points.
Not surprisingly, fourth-placed United kick off as Partybets’ 5/6 favourites, though as only the Old Firm have lost fewer away matches than Inverness, Sportingbet’s 5/6 for them to win when handed a one goal start certainly catches the eye. Those expecting another rush of goals (there have been six scored in this season’s two meetings) may wish to run the rule over 6/5 against the game yielding more than 2.5.
Elsewhere in the SPL, victories are expected for Kilmarnock (11/8, Paddy Power) who host Motherwell and for Hearts (4/7, Stan James) who entertain St Mirren.
