Paul Ferguson likes the look of Dare To Doubt in the 2.55 at Limerick on Sunday afternoon at around even money
Willie Mullins will be hoping for another successful Cheltenham Festival this week and Dare To Doubt (2:55) is fancied to give the trainer a lift just 48 hours before the meeting gets underway, at Limerick this afternoon.
A course winner on her penultimate start, when she seemed to appreciate the switch to front-running tactics, the daughter of King’s Theatre followed up against the boys in Grade 2 company last time.
Admittedly, she was given a very smart tactical ride last time, but a reproduction of that effort should make her tough to beat back against her own sex.
Oilily has solid form in the book, both in bumpers and novice hurdles, but she’s been off for 128 days and Mullins’ mare is preferred.
Keep an eye on the stable’s bumper runner, Lovethehigherlaw, as he is very highly regarded and skips Cheltenham for this and then a tilt at the Punchestown Grade 1. Likely to be very skinny today, he is one to watch with the future in mind.
