Paul Ferguson has one horse racing tip for us on Monday; go with Total Submission in the 3.40 at Catterick.
Martin Keighley sends a couple of horses on the long trip north to Catterick on Monday and, whilst Wolf Moon is clearly capable of much better than he has shown so far over fences, the pick of his pair looks to be Total Submission (3:40) in the 2m3f Support Racing Welfare’s Racing Lottery Novices’ Hurdle.
Donald McCain’s A Bridge Too Far is likely to head the market after an impressive Wetherby win for Paul Webber and he has since been bought for £65,000 at the Doncaster Sales last month.
At the forecast prices, it is worth siding with Total Submission who is dropping in both trip and class, having run four times at Cheltenham since his maiden hurdle success at Uttoxeter last May.
The pick of his form is a fourth place behind stable-mate Champion Court in a Grade 2 and he finished mid-division behind Bobs Worth last time, after leading the field for the majority of the contest.
He faces much lesser opposition here today and, as long as the ground isn’t too soft, the son of Kayf Tara may take a bit of passing.
