Live on Skysports 1: Thu 08.30: South Africa are 4/11 (Coral) to get their World Cup campaign off to a winning start against the West Indies.
South Africa haven’t played an ODI for over a month but the Windies present a good oppurtunity for an opening win.
The West Indies, 5/2 with Ladbrokes, have slipped to 9th in the ODI ranking, below Bangladesh, and have a lot of work to do to reach their target of the quarters.
They can draw encouragement from the Netherlands’ display and also Zimbabwe’s but players such as South Africa’s Hashim Amla are really going to test them.
Amla is 7/2 (Totesport) to top score for South Africa while Morne Morkel can be backed at 4’s with William Hill to get the most wickets. Bodog have a reasonable 4/6 about the South Africans getting the bigger of the opening partnerships.
