Live on Skysports 1: Sun 18.00 & 20.00: After their slip up at The Emirates, Barcelona are ready to take it out on Atletic Bilbao.
Punters that watched Barcelona slip to a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday are unlikely to consider the result reason enough to oppose Pep Guardiola’s men in La Liga this weekend, as they host Athletic Bilbao.
The Catalans side looked dangerous at the Emirates and were undone in a five-minute spell against an excellent Gunners outfit, plus they collected an away goal and so they won’t be feeling sorry for themselves as they return to domestic duty at the Camp Nou.
Bookies agree and Barca are just 1/7 with Totesport to send the Basque outfit home empty-handed and bookies are right to play it safe. Admittedly the visitors are in fifth, albeit some way adrift of fourth, but most of their good work is done on home soil and on the road they have been far less consistent.
Subsequently, the hosts are a banker and as they have only conceded seven times in a dozen fixtures on their own patch, it could be worth backing them at 11/10 (Coral) to win ‘to nil’.
Hercules can’t buy an away goal, having managed only three all season (two of those at the Camp Nou incredibly) and indeed the Alicante side haven’t troubled the scorers on the road since October. Little wonder then that Seville are odds-on at 4/7 (888Sport) as the pair meet at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
However, the hosts aren’t exactly in decent shape themselves at present and don’t appeal at such a skinny price; instead, given the visitors scoring troubles, we’re happy to aim low on the goals, taking on Betfred’s 11/10 for it to produce less than 2.5.
Recommended Bets:
