Paul Ferguson has one horse racing selection for us on Tuesday; Nobunaga in the 4.00 at Folkestone.
Despite being sent off at 66/1, there appeared no fluke about the success of Nobunaga (4:00) at Huntingdon last month and the six-year-old is taken to follow up at Folkestone on Tuesday.
Venetia Williams’ Beat Hollow gelding, who was useful on the Flat in Ireland in 2009, had one try over hurdles a year ago when pulled-up at Chepstow (incidentally, he was sent off just 4/1 on that occasion).
At Huntingdon, he was always front rank and had some decent prospects in behind, including narrow second Araldur, who ran well again at Exeter on Sunday.
A winner on heavy ground on the level, a reproduction of his last run should be good enough here, despite the 7lb penalty.
Tuesday’s selection:
4:00 Folkestone Nobunaga
