Nicky Henderson’s six-year-old will be looking to book his ticket to the Festival, where he holds an entry in the 4m National Hunt Chase.
From a punting point of view Silver Roque (3:05) makes most appeal in the BBC Lincolnshire Mike Molloy Memorial Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.
Henrietta Knight’s five-year-old was a winner on the Flat in the France and has shaped with promise since joining the West Lockinge team, most notably on his handicap debut at Wincanton last time.
The Laveron gelding chased home the well-treated Arrayan last month and, though it would have been nice to see Royale’s Charter frank the form by winning on Saturday, the form looks solid enough in the context of this event.
His running style suggests the step up in trip should bring about further improvement and, even though it would appear fanciful, it is worth noting that he does still hold an entry in the Neptune Investment at the Cheltenham Festival.
