Rangers are 8/15 favourites with 888Sport to beat Hearts but it’s a couple of away teams that catch the eye in the SPL.
Hearts’ last away match resulted in a 4-0 thumping at Celtic but elsewhere the Jambos have been solid on the road, winning eight out of ten and suffering just two defeats, both at the hands of the Hoops. Subsequently, it’s hard to get excited about skinny odds-on quotes – the best being 888Sport’s 8/15, about a Rangers success as Jim Jefferies takes his high flyers to Ibrox.
7/2 for Hearts to grab a share the spoils tempts a little but after their heavy loss at Parkhead, it’s perhaps more sensible to seek value elsewhere in the SPL.
Inverness have lost seven matches at home this season, despite lying a respectable fifth and with no win in ten league outings for Terry Butcher’s troops, they’re worth opposing as they host Dundee United. The Terrors are 9/5 with bet365 to collect all three points but their plethora of away stalmates are a touch discouraging so we’re more inclined to recommend them at 11/10 (Coral), ‘Draw No Bet’.
Similarly, Hibs’ dismal form points to their opponents at Easter Road, William Hill’s 11/4 outsiders St Mirren. However, the Buddies are hardly the picture of consistency so again backing them ‘Draw No Bet’, this time at 15/8 with Paddy Power could be the way forward.
