After a solid win at Wolves, Liverpool are now 4/7 (Paddy Power) to beat Fulham and press on up the Premier League table.
Pundits got a little bit carried away after Liverpool’s victory at Wolves. Admittedly, Kenny Dalglish’s showed a significant improvement but it was one game, against a team languishing in the bottom three and it wasn’t a sign that the Reds are about to make a late charge for the top four.
With this in mind, there’s little appeal in backing them at a skinny-looking 4/7 with Paddy Power, despite the fact that they are worthy favourites and should come out on top.
Only one team has conceded fewer away goals than the Cottagers, who also have the second worst scoring record on the road so it’s fair to suggest it could be a low-scoring affair containing less than three goals, an outcome Betdaq price at 1.8 (4/5).
Nevertheless, a flutter on the rejuvenated Fernando Torres to get on the scoresheet at 10/11 (bet365) represents decent value. The Spaniard has bagged three in three and the ambitious may even fancy backing the Reds striker at 3/1 with Stan James to notch first as Torres has broken the deadlock in two of his last three and was only denied the opener against Everton by the width of the post.
Recommended Bets:
Fernando Torres to score at any time – 10/11 (bet365)
