Paul Ferguson, has two selections for us on Sunday, both at Leopardstown. Get on Jessies Dream in the 1.20 and Prima Vista at 2.25
The valuable MCR Hurdle is the feature of Leopardstown’s seven race card on Sunday and the €60,000 first prize can go to Prima Vista (2:25) who was hugely impressive here at the Christmas meeting.
The lightly raced novice was clearly chucked in last time and a 15lb rise may not be enough to halt Noel Meade’s six-year-old.
Earlier on the card Jessies Dream (1:20) is fancied to complete the hat-trick despite having to shoulder a 7lb penalty for his victory in the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase.
Had Mikael D’Haguenet not crashed out at the last, he’d have probably come off second best, but he is a high-class novice in his own right and still had subsequent Grade 1 winner, Realt Dubh, five lengths away in second.
Currently second favourite in ante-post lists for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham, he will need to win this to consolidate his position in that market.
Sunday’s selections:
1:20 Leopardstown: Jessies Dream
2:25 Leopardstown: Prima Vista
