Prince Of Pirates scored for Paul Ferguson on Friday, today our resident tipster fancies Time For Rupert (12:45) and Robinson Collognes (2.30) at Prestbury Park. Oddschecker
After a making a winning chase debut over 2m4f here at the Open meeting Time For Rupert (12:45) can be expected to improve now he steps back up in trip and can maintain his 100% record over fences.
Paul Webber’s World Hurdle runner-up jumped well on debut and a similar round of fencing should see him come home in front.
Earlier in the week I advised taking 8/1 about Robinson Collonges (2:30) in the Vote A. P. Gold Cup and, with the drying ground in his favour and Wishfull Thinking (who he would have beaten at Wincanton) running well on Friday, there is no reason to jump ship now.
The stanjames.com. International Hurdle looks an absolute cracker, but doesn’t look a betting heat. Cue Card could well be a superstar but, as Menorah and Silviniaco Conti have better form in the book, it is hard to recommend backing him at the prices.
This looks a race to watch and savour.
