Paul Ferguson has one selection on Monday – Kind Of Easy in the 13:25 at Folkestone. Early price 5/2 at Betfred
Folkestone needs to pass a 7:30am inspection if Monday’s card is to go ahead and, if successful, the race of the day is the 2m4f EBF National Hunt Novices’ Hurdle.
Sherwani Wolf brings a fair level of hurdles form to the contest, Water Garden ran very well when runner-up on his debut in a Fontwell bumper recently and Invictus cost 162,000 gns after winning a point at Horse & Jockey.
Both Water Garden and Invictus are really interesting prospects, but so too is Kind Of Easy (1:25) and with Emma Lavelle’s string in fine form, he is taken to strike on his debut over timber.
The four-year-old son of Kalanisi ran in a Grade 2 bumper on debut in February, before winning a decent Huntgindon contest in April, where he got the better of Lion On The Prowl and the well-touted Sizing Ireland.
The latter went on to run in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival, whilst Kim Bailey’s Lion On The Prowl made a successful debut over jumps in a Uttoxeter maiden hurdle in May.
Sam Thomas rode Tocca Ferro to success for the trainer at Newbury on Saturday and the pair can strike again here. Early price 5/2 at Betfred
Monday’s selection:
1:25 Folkestone: Kind Of Easy
