Live on Skysports 1: Fri 23.30: England shorten slightly to 10/3 (William Hill) for the 1st Test after they showed glimmers of class on day 2.
Play for Day 3 begins 30 minutes early tonight.
England staged a fightback on day 2 of the 1st Test as play finished with Australia on 220/5. The hosts are still 8/15 favs to win (Sportingbet), pushed slightly out from about 2/5, but Michael Hussey steadied the ship after the Baggy Greens crumbled to 143/5.
Hussey, unbeaten on 81, ensures the Aussies remain in some sort of control as the game threatened to get away from them, despite dominating day 1. Swann found some turn and Anderson looked ok but with the new ball coming first thing on Day 3, England have a good chance to keep the pressure on and skittle the Aussies for less than 300.
Anything over 300 for Australia and you feel they should go on to win, but the game is certainly nicely poised.
