Unbeaten QPR are 6/5 at Ladbrokes to beat title rivals Cardiff in the Championship this weekend and extend their lead at the top.
There’s no doubt about which game heads the bill in the Championship this weekend as leaders QPR lock horns with second-placed Cardiff at Loftus Road. Despite a slight wobble in their last eight games, six of which have ended in stalemate, Rangers remain unbeaten after 18 matches and with home advantage against a stuttering Bluebirds, Neil Warnock’s men can preserve their record.
The visitors have won one of their last four and that victory came at Scunthorpe, whose home form leaves a lot to be desired. They have also lost crucial games at home to Swansea and Nottingham Forest recently and QPR are a tasty 6/5 with Ladbrokes to inflict another defeat on their promotion rivals.
Another team that look primed to register a home win are Barnsley. The Tykes have won three on the spin and tend to be strong at Oakwell while opponents Watford are winless in six and have lost four consecutive away matches. Those reverses have all been high-scoring, producing five goals apiece and this one can follow suit.
Bold punters can therefore combine a Barnsley success with tally of over 2.5 goals at 13/5 with Partybets, however, the Tykes’ last three at home have all been fairly low-scoring and we’re happier to play it a touch safer by backing a straightforward win for Mark Robins’ troops at 11/8 ().
In Sunday’s big derby clash at Carrow Road, Norwich shade it in terms of value at 23/20 courtesy of William Hill to get the better of Ipswich but it’s Leeds that get the nod in terms of our final recommendation.
Unbeaten in five, Simon Grayson’s charges head to Reading in fine fettle having also won three out of four on their travels and at 14/5 with they can give the Royals plenty to think about at the Madejski Stadium.
Nevertheless, despite looking a touch unconvincing at times, the hosts have lost only one of their last six, sharing the spoils in three consecutive outings so a little insurance wouldn’t go amiss and it’s available with Paddy Power, who rate Leeds at 7/4 in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market.
Finally, Middlesbrough’s struggles continue and improving Hull (13/5, ) shouldn’t be discounted as the pair meet at the Riverside while Sheffield United, having registered back-to-back wins, are moderately tempting at 2/1 thanks to Coral as they visit Bristol City.
