Day two of the Showcase meeting from Cheltenham looks competitive, but Champagne Court (3:15) is of interest in the Pertemps Qualifier, on his first start since a wind-op.
Jeremy Scott’s seven-year-old ran well in the Silver Trophy on his reappearance last year before easily winning a couple of novice handicap chases. He didn’t get his ground in two starts after that, but returns to hurdling off 9lbs lower than those two competitive chases. Stable form is a slight concern, but at the prices he can be chanced each-way, with the step up in trip likely to suit.
