Perth stages a cracking card on Thursday, where I like the look of Wakool (3:35) in the Jet Master Handicap Hurdle.
Interestingly, Jet Master was owned by a couple of Wakool’s owners, and the lightly-raced grey looked progressive in his first season over hurdles last term. A keen-going sort, he got his act together at Doncaster in January and remains fairly handicapped on a 5lbs higher mark. Nick Alexander hasn’t really got going yet this season, so that is a slight concern, but there should be another handicap in this horse at some stage, and he ought to relish the quick conditions. If today isn’t his day, don’t lose the faith.
Paul Nicholls’ Chez Hans is another to note in the same race, having warmed up for this with a recent run on the level.
