It’s a fairly quiet day on Monday with not much catching the eye at all. However, I’ll be interested to see how PALM BEACH (6:00) goes on debut for Aidan O’Brien.
The stable have the 81-rated Silver Fox in the line-up too, but Palm Beach is a full brother to Southern France, a horse I was a fan of as a three-year-old.
Runner-up in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot, he also hit the frame in the St Leger, and it will be interesting to see if the market speaks in his favour. His two half brothers won their maiden on second start, but neither of those debuted over 12 furlongs.
